IGD joins National Skills Academy for Food & Drink

IGD, the Institute of Grocery Distribution, is the latest industry-training organisation to join the National Skills Academy for Food & Drink – the dedicated nationwide training and education network for UK food and drink businesses. 

The move means the National Skills Academy for Food & Drink now provides food and drink companies with single-point access to more than 60 expert training and education organisations covering key job skills and qualifications from new entrant to management across the full range of industry sub sectors.

“Using the National Skills Academy for Food & Drink to source and access specialist training gives businesses an absolute assurance of quality and industry relevance from skills development partners, like IGD, that deliver genuine competitive advantage,” says Justine Fosh, director of skills solutions at the National Skills Academy for Food & Drink.

Founded over a century ago to ensure professional standards in grocery management training, IGD has continued to maintain and enhance its training and change management offer as well as establishing an international reputation as acknowledged experts in food retail and supply chain insight and best practice.
