Fazer to launch Angry birds products
Finnish bakery and confectionery group Fazer has signed an agreement with Rovio Entertainment to develop and sell confectionery related to the mobile game Angry Birds.
Fazer’s managing director Pekka Rantala notes, “Fazer will be responsible for creating the flavours of the new confectionery, while Rovio will be in charge of the characters.”
Initially, the companies will launch two varieties of confectionery products featuring special Angry Birds flavour, following which more varieties will be rolled out. The new products will be available in Finland and other Nordic countries starting June 2012.
