Catalina Snacks, a US-based manufacturer known for its high-protein, reduced-sugar cereals and snack foods, has announced its entry into the granola category with the launch of Catalina Crunch Protein Granola. The product will be rolled out across major retailers and online platforms throughout the remainder of 2025.
The new granola range contains 13 grams of protein, 1–2 grams of sugar, and is a source of dietary fibre per serving. It is intended as a convenient option for breakfast or snacking, aligning with the brand’s focus on high-protein, lower-sugar products.
The initial range includes three flavours:
Honey Cashew – featuring honey flavour and cashew pieces
Peanut Butter – made with peanuts and peanut butter
Vanilla Almond – combining vanilla flavour with almond pieces
All varieties are made with gluten-free oats, soy and rice crisps, and Catalina Crunch’s signature cereal, using ingredients selected for both taste and nutritional profile.
“This product was developed to address a gap in the market,” said Sam Martin, Chief Revenue & Marketing Officer at Catalina Snacks. “Many current breakfast and snack options are either high in sugar or nutritionally lacking. Our Protein Granola is designed to provide a balance of protein, fibre, and flavour, without unnecessary sugar.”
Catalina Crunch Protein Granola will be available at retailers including Walmart, Publix, Amazon, Target, Sprouts, Hy-Vee, ShopRite, King Soopers, Harris Teeter, Stop & Shop, Hannaford, as well as via the brand’s website at catalinacrunch.com.
This launch follows significant growth for Catalina Snacks, which has expanded its reach to over 28,000 retail locations across the United States. The company continues to develop products in response to rising consumer demand for lower-sugar, protein-rich food options.
