Naturally healthy frozen yogurt

Yorvale has chosen the Speciality & Fine Food Fair, UK showcase for fine food and drink, to launch its new range of frozen yogurt, Yoryog.

Created from a yogurt culture that is made on a Vale of York farm, Yoryog adds a selection of natural ingredients and flavours to make smooth and creamy frozen yogurt that contains no more than 3.3% fat. The four introductory flavours are Ravishing Raspberry, Heavenly Honey, Marvellous Mango and Lime and Blissful Blueberry.

Yoryog has been created specifically to appeal to younger, health conscious consumers for whom provenance is also important and is Yorvale’s first foray into the £162 million frozen yogurt market; the fastest growing category in the ice cream market.

Of the launch, Yorvale’s development director Lesley Buxton said: “Yoryog is made from Yorkshire milk and 100% natural ingredients, is low in fat but high in taste. It’s been very well received by health conscious consumers who don’t want to compromise on taste. We have high hopes for this new brand.”

Yorvale will also be introducing visitors to The Speciality Chocolate Fair to its new Chocolate Orange Ripple ice cream; a smooth, chocolate ice cream that is flavoured with a subtle orange essence and rippled with tangy Jaffa orange. The Speciality Chocolate Fair is dedicated to fine and artisan chocolate and runs alongside the Speciality and Fine Food Fair.

Lesley Buxton explained the significance of the exhibition to Yorvale’s business: “Although our real dairy ice cream is made on the farm in the heart of Yorkshire, it’s enjoyed throughout Britain thanks to our nationwide network of distributors. We’re going to the Speciality and Fine Food Fair to launch Yoryog nationwide and to look for distributors to the retail market place.”

Speciality & Fine Food Fair takes place from 8-10 September at Olympia Exhibition Centre and Yorvale’s stand number is 775.
