Award for fondant cremes

House of Dorchester is celebrating the news that its Violet Creme has wowed judges in the Great Taste Awards 2013 and is the recipient of a One-Star Gold in the food awards scheme involving over 400 judges and thousands of hours of blind tasting.
Dubbed the Food Oscars, the Great Taste Awards 2013 received a bumper number of entries (just under 10,000) of which 2524 achieved a prestigious One-Star Gold award across 36 different categories. In total more than 12 judges will have tasted and commented on House of Dorchester’s Violet Cremes before agreeing to bestow the much sought after One-Star Gold accolade.
Commenting on the company’s success, which marks the fifth time House of Dorchester has been recognised by the Great Taste Awards, Katherine Ebbs, marketing operations manager, said: “Winning a Great Taste Award is always a true privilege and in the year that House of Dorchester celebrates its 50th anniversary, it is particularly fitting that the superior quality and taste of our fine chocolates is recognized by the UK’s leading food and drink trade association, the prestigious Guild of Fine Food”.
The Violet Creme chocolate collection and Rose and Violet Creme assortments are stocked in John Lewis, Booths, Waitrose and a wide range of independent retailers, delicatessens, garden centres and fine food emporiums.
