Natural brand wins award

Female entrepreneur and advisor on BBC One’s The Apprentice Karren Brady, has presented six small businesses with a prestigious national business award at an exclusive event held at Kettners in London.
Natural sweet manufacturer Goody Good Stuff, beat hundreds of small businesses, to claim the prize of £2,000 cash, 50,000 Nectar points and the prestigious title.
The business was judged by a panel of business experts, including Chris Li, founder of Luxury For Less, James Frost, Nectar marketing director and Karren Brady, who Melissa will have the opportunity to meet and get business advice from.
Goody Good Stuff, which is based in Heysham, Lancashire, specialises in an all-natural meat free alternative to traditional gummy gelatine based sweets. By using a specialised food technology that has taken over 15 years to develop, Goody Good Stuff has removed the meat gelatine, along with food additives from its gummy sweets while still producing a deliciously smooth and clear consistency sweet.
The company won the national Small Business award thanks to its excellent all-roundedness: the business has already expanded across 27 export markets including Australia, Europe, the Middle East and the US and will continue its growth momentum with the short-term aim of reaching 20,000 stockists by the end of 2013.
The Nectar Business Small Business Awards 2013, which were free to enter, celebrate the achievements of successful small businesses and business people across the UK. As well as the business advice provided by Karren Brady, winners will also receive £2,000 cash and 50,000 Nectar points.
