New chief executive

Tangerine, a European confectionery company, has announced that it has selected Benoit Testard as its new chief executive.

Testard joined Tangerine as a non-executive director in October 2013, and he will begin his new role in March.  Steven Joseph, currently Chairman of the Group, will take up the role of interim CEO to maintain the momentum of Tangerine’s investment plans for 2014.

Previously Testard has held various roles at United Biscuits, Reckitt and Colman and Fromageries Bel Group.

Commenting on his new role, Benoit Testard, said: “Having been introduced to the world of Tangerine as a non-executive Director, I am thrilled to become Chief Executive. Tangerine has a powerful position in the confectionery sector and owns some of its best-known brands. I look forward to working with the 1,500 strong team here to grow the company further.”
