Vietnam 73 is a new addition to the Origins range of chocolate by Belcolade. The 73 per cent dark chocolate has a pronounced acid cocoa taste, accompanied by hints of citrus, wood and tobacco. As a result of the Puratos’ Cacao-Trace programme, Vietnam 73 is also a sustainable chocolate.

Different from the other nine Origins chocolates in the range, Vietnam 73 is produced from Trinitario cocoa beans that originate from the Mekong Delta or ‘Little Venice’, the main cocoa-producing region in Vietnam. To ensure superior quality and taste, Puratos opened a Cocoa Collection and Fermentation Plant (CCFP) in Vietnam in November 2013. In this centre, the post-harvest activities are taken care of. Vietnam 73 is also the first chocolate made out of cocoa beans from Puratos’ Cacao-Trace programme.
