Baked onion snacks

Inventure Foods has expanded its licensing agreement with Vidalia Brands, the Georgia onion brand, with the debut of Zesty Ranch Sweet Onion Petals. The baked snack sticks’ flavour comes from real onion puree, and the addition of herb-spiced ranch dressing complements the natural sweetness.

The new Zesty Ranch Sweet Onion Petals join the existing line of Vidalia Sweet Onion Petals, Sweet Vidalia Onion Kettle Chips, Sweet Vidalia Onion BBQ Kettle Chips and Sweet Potato Fries.

“Onions continue to be a huge flavour trend and we have enjoyed working with the team at Vidalia Brands to bring the unique sweet onion flavour to the snack aisle,” says Steve Sklar, senior vice president and general manager for Inventure Foods, Inc. “We believe consumers resonate with the familiarity of the Vidalia onion flavour and that’s why it’s one of our fastest growing lines. This is the fifth product we’ve introduced since the beginning of our licensing partnership with Vidalia Brands and we expect it will be just as well received by consumers as the previous four.”

Available in 1.35 and 2.25oz bags with a suggested retail price of $1.00 – $1.99 per package, the snack will be available across the US in vending and convenience stores this month.
