Nature Valley uses field force to drive sales

Nature Valley is introducing a national field sales team to help independent convenience retailers increase their sales in the growing food to go category.
The field team will be making thousands of visits to stores across the country, offering tailored merchandising, POS support, category advice and key insights on the latest shopper trends.
During the visits retailers will also be able to take advantage of some special promotional deals including the new Nature Valley 30 for 25 mixed single case, specifically developed for convenience and independent retailers to maximise sales.
Included in the mixed cases are twin packs of three of the best selling Nature Valley single bars including: Canadian Maple Syrup, Oats and honey and Oats and Chocolate. Cases are available in 59p PMP.
Ben Hale, marketing strategy and planning at Nature Valley, says, “We see convenience as a massive opportunity for retailers to explode sales of food to go with our range of Nature Valley bars. The wonderfully diverse nature of the bar means it can be sold any time of day, whether as part of a lunchtime meal deal or morning hot drink link save. Excitingly, we also have a brand new field sales team that will be regularly visiting stores up and down the country so that retailers can purchase Nature Valley as well as maximise sales through merchandising advice, POS & new equipment.”
