Make it a green Halloween

For the fifth year, Glee Gum has partnered with Green Halloween, a program of Green America, to provide healthier, earth friendlier sweets at Halloween themed events across the country. Over 35,000 free Glee Gum samples were sent to events this month alone, turning scores of trick-or-treaters into more natural eaters.

Most conventional Halloween candy contains spooky ingredients like artificial colors and flavors. It also comes packaged in plastic. Glee Gum is made with natural, GMO-free ingredients and boxed in recycled cardboard. Unlike other gum, classic Glee is sweetened with Fair Trade sugar and brown rice syrup, and sugarless Glee with 100% xylitol—no aspartame. It’s a greener, cleaner goody for giveaway.

As Elizabeth O’Connell, campaigns director at Green America, explains, “There are many ways that families can do their part to reduce excess and unhealthy consumption around Halloween. Green Halloween provides easy and family-friendly ways to help families celebrate green.”

So, forget orange and black. Find a community event near you and join the movement to add some much-needed green to this Halloween!
