Freeze-dried vegetable snacks

The Premium Snack Company is launching a range of snacks containing freeze-dried vegetables. The freeze-drying process retains the flavour of the vegetables, with no added salt, sugar, fat or preservatives.

The Nothing But range comes in three varieties: sliced beetroot and parsnip, pea and sweetcorn, and mange tout and red pepper. A single packet represents one of your 5 A Day.

David Street, a spokesman at The Premium Snack Company, said: “The freeze dried fruit and vegetable snack market is well established in the USA and Asia and we feel the time is now right to lead the development in the market in the UK.”

The range of Nothing But snacks will retail between £1 and £1.20.
