Raw chocolate is a winner

The Raw Chocolate Company is among the producers celebrating as its Pitch Dark and Mint Raw Chocolate bars will both proudly carry the little gold and black Great Taste award logo.
Judged by over 400 of the most demanding palates belonging to food critics, chefs, cooks, members of the Women’s Institute, farmers and a host of food writers and journalists, Great Taste is widely acknowledged as the most respected food accreditation scheme for artisan and speciality food producers. When a product wears a Great Taste label it carries a badge of honour, but more importantly, the Great Taste logo is a signpost to a wonderful tasting product – and The Raw Chocolate Company can now proudly state that it has three great tasting products after winning 2 gold stars for its Goji Berry and Orange chocolate bars in 2013.
“We couldn’t be more pleased with the recognition of the award and the praise received from the judges,” explains Linus Gorpe, founder of the Raw Chocolate Company. “Last year we won two Great Taste gold stars with our Goji Berry and Orange chocolate bars – so to now have 3 award winning chocolate bars is a fantastic achievement for a little chocolate company from Henfield, West Sussex!
“It just goes to show that combining four natural ingredients (cacao, cacao butter, natural oils and coconut sugar) with a simple manufacturing process results in a delicious, high quality chocolate bar that can please even the toughest judge’s taste buds.
“We found that after last year’s success, interest in our range of chocolate bars, supreme foods and chocolate coated berries had grown massively, and we now receive orders from customers all over the world! We hope that this year’s awards will open up even more exciting opportunities for The Raw Chocolate Company – and with a bit of luck, a few more awards next year!”
