Buyers’ Choice at Sweets & Snacks Expo

Five products were awarded Buyers’ Choice – Best New Concept awards in the New Product Showcase at the 2011 Sweets & Snacks Expo in Chicago.

The winners were:

–       Jelly Belly Candy Co.’s Chocolate Dips – raspberry, strawberry, Very Cherry, coconut and orange Jelly Belly beans covered in dark chocolate.

–       Got Milk? Magic Milk Straws from Food Market Merchandising. The straws are filled with candy bits in flavours including chocolate, strawberry and vanilla milkshake. Paul Henson, vice president of marketing, says, “This is the first time the California Milk Processor Board has lent the ’Got Milk’ name to a product.”

–       Wine Collection gift boxes from 2 Chicks With Chocolate. The bottle-shaped boxes in fabric bags feature an all-natural assortment of Cabernet and Meritage caramels, and Spicy Merlot and Tempranillo chocolates.

–       Awesome Blossoms from Albanese Confectionery Group. A contemporary way to show off the grape, orange, strawberry, mango, blue raspberry and cherry gummies.

–       Trolli Big Bold Bears gummies from Farley’s & Sathers. Five- and eight-ounce peg bags hold assorted cherry, green apple, blue raspberry, grape, orange and lemon-lime flavours.
