It’s hard to believe that the October issue of Confectionery Production is on its way. Here in the UK, autumn is in the air, and it’s the time of year when we start planning the content of the magazine for 2016.

A new features list will soon be available as part of our updated Media Pack, so look out for it online, or get in touch if you’d like us to send you a copy direct.

The latest issue includes our much anticipated Supplier Profiles supplement. Published as an additional service to our readers, you will find detailed information on a selection of leading suppliers, offering everything from ingredients to processing and packaging equipment.

Alongside our regular features, we like to explore topical issues that are of particular relevance to our audience, and with this in mind we bring you a detailed overview of the KitKat trademark case. This includes the history of the case, how it might be decided, the policy reasons underlying the trademark regime and the implications of this decision for other confectionery manufacturers.

Also in the issue is our regular update on the most recent changes to EU regulations. This is followed by a look at developments in print on demand packaging and an article on the challenges of coding flow wrapped products and how to overcome them.

Finally, within our ‘pink pages’, read how sales of extruded confectionery have remained high in China despite other economic problems and find advice on how to introduce new products without affecting sales of your existing range.

Enjoy the issue…
