Reggae Reggae crisp launch

Caribbean food entrepreneur Levi Roots is expanding his range in the UK and launching new Reggae Reggae crisps. Produced under license by Devon-based Burts Chips, the 150g sharing bags will be available in Tesco stores across the UK from June 2011.

The two hand-cooked variants include Reggae Reggae Groove Cut crisps and Levi’s Caribbean Chilli Beef Groove Cut crisps, at a suggested RRP of £1.79. Melvin Glynn, managing director of Burts Chips, says, “The new crisps cater for consumers looking to discover new products and flavours and represent everything that people love about Reggae Reggae – spice, sharing, and socialising.”

The ‘groove-cut’ snacks also target the growing market for ridged and crinkle-cut crisps and follow the launch of Walkers Crinkles this April.
