BIP Candy & Toy acquires What Next Candy

BIP Candy & Toy a leading manufacturer and distributor of children’s novelty confectionery products, has acquired What Next Candy, an import and distribution company specialising in children’s, traditional gifting and seasonal confectionery products allowing BIP to enhance its in-store presence in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
The purchase of What Next Candy, based in Derbyshire, England, further increases BIP Candy & Toy share in the British market. “The combination of What Next’s distribution power and knowhow of the market with our licensed candy novelty product concepts will provide our clients a chance to grow their turnover on a new and innovative product category,” says Rogier Korsmit, president of BIP Candy & Toy. “The acquisition is also expected to result in greater efficiencies and significantly increase our market share,” adds Jeroen Sauren, export sales manager of BIP Candy & Toy.
“The partnership with BIP Candy & Toy will allow What Next Candy to re-establish its position as a leading supplier of licensed novelty confectionery products in the UK,” comments Ian Gavin, What Next Candy Ltd. John Windsor confirmed the management and sales team will remain unchanged “Our enormous distribution network will allow BIP Candy & Toy greater access to food and non-food retail in the UK.”

BIP Candy & Toy will use What Next’s existing organisational infrastructure. BIP Candy & Toy is in the process of integrating the organization into the BIP Group of Companies which, in the mean time, are present in, The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France, Spain, Czech Republic, Poland, Malaysia, China, Hong Kong and now also in the UK. “The integration of both companies will take place over the next 3 months. Our clients will continue to receive the same high quality services and products, which they have come to expect,” stated Rogier Korsmit, president of BIP Candy & Toy.
What Next Candy Ltd, which will continue to operate under that name, is now a wholly owned subsidiary of BIP Candy & Toy.
