NOMO wins best vegan chocolate at Vegan Food awards

NOMO’s Caramel Chocolate Bar has won the most prestigious accolade at the Vegan Food UK awards.
The win is fitting end to Veganuary – with new NOMO research finding a fifth of Brits are thought to have taken part, with the number considering a plant-based diet doubling since last year. The research also found that Brits were 38% more likely to try vegan chocolate this year, compared to last – with one in five picking up a bar as the industry continues to grow.
The annual award is now in its fourth year with thousands of people taking part by voting for their favourite vegan products of the year by a multitude of brands.
Vegan Food UK pride itself on a completely transparent award selection, using the voices of its followers and members, with each being given the chance to not only vote on their favourite products, but also nominate them too.
Caramel is one of the nation’s favourite flavours and NOMO wanted to create a smooth, gooey caramel bar that both vegans and allergy sufferers could enjoy. Made with a non-dairy alternative to milk chocolate, with a vegan caramel-flavoured centre, it is completely vegan and free from dairy, gluten, egg and nuts.
The award cements the success NOMO has had over the past year, selling almost £8 million in value sales and 297.9 tonnes of chocolate – the equivalent to 24 double decker buses – to help it record a 52.8% growth since 2020.
