Angry Birds sweets fly into stores
In May, Fazer is introducing a range of Angry Birds Sweets, the result of a cooperation with Rovio Entertainment.
The flavours and shapes of the new wine gums have been carefully designed according to the Angry Birds world – the characters’ flavours and forms show and taste in the novelties. There will be two different kinds of Fazer Angry Birds confectionery bags: one for birds and one for pigs. Like in the story, the pigs have stolen the birds’ eggs and are hiding among the building blocks in their own piggy bag.
The colourful and tangy birds taste like strawberry, lime, orange, wild berries, and cola with a fresh lemon filling. The pigs have an apple and pear taste. The sugar coated eggs hide a soft caramel yolk, whereas the building blocks taste like lemon, passion fruit and pineapple.
At first, the novelties will be launched in Finland, Sweden, Denmark, the Baltic States, Poland and Czech Republic. Through travel trade, the novelties will travel through airports, on plane and ferry to up to 40 countries. The birds will also land in China when Fazer starts the test sales of its products there in the summer.
The sweets only contain natural flavours and are available in 150g bags.
