A taste of New York for UK consumers

New York Bakery Co is launching a new range of premium muffins. The muffins will be available in the top two best selling flavours: deliciously chunky double chocolate and juicy blueberry and will launch in Tesco stores from May 2012.
New York Bakery Co has expanded their product offering following the huge success of their bagel re-launch in January 2011 – which saw sales increase by 68 per cent across the year triggering the value of the ambient bagel market as a whole to rise by 50.8 per cent.
The range has been created off the back of extensive consumer research which shows a gap in the market for an indulgent product aimed at adults that offers a ‘coffee shop’ treat experience. In response to this, New York Bakery Co muffins are bigger in size than any other brand’s offering with plentiful visible chocolate chunks and fruits.
The launch will be supported by instore promotions and a comprehensive media campaign as part of £3million communication spend for 2012 which centres on bringing ‘A taste of New York’ to UK consumers.

The double chocolate and blueberry muffins will initially be available in Tesco stores nationwide from April 30th 2012, RRP £1.69 for a pack of two.
