Cupcakes with indulgent fillings

Fletchers Group of Bakeries is launching a cupcake range with an indulgent filling through its foodservice Kara brand in a bid to take a slice of the booming cupcake market.

Kara, which specialises in frozen buns, rolls and doughballs for the food service and convenience sectors, will now offer four cupcakes including the Chocolate Heaven cupcake filled with chocolate sauce, the Strawberry Sensation with strawberry jam, the Lemon Meringue with lemon curd and the Ice Cream Sundae with raspberry sauce.

Stephen Holding, managing director of Fletchers Group, says: “Cupcakes were a gap in our portfolio. These are an innovation in the bakery market, with our four ground-breaking flavours and the concept of a luxurious, indulgent filling. There are no other cupcakes like this on the foodservice market.”
