Super food truffles

Sweet Virtues, an award-winning, forward thinking and health conscious food business, has launched a luxury selection of super food truffles in the UK.

Available in three varieties – Maqui, Chia Seeds & Lime and Baobab & Vanilla – the truffles come in boxes of about 10.

Sweet Virtues’ luxury truffles are nutrient-dense and power-packed with more than five super food ingredients in each one. The raw centre is made up of a blend of Maca, Lucuma, Carob, Ginseng, Sunflower Seeds and Ground Almonds mixed with 70 per cent Raw Ecuadorian Bio dynamic fair trade chocolate.

Each truffle is hand made and dairy free, suitable for vegetarians, vegans and those on gluten-free diets.

At the heart of founder Carey Davis-Munro’s philosophy is the ‘triangle of health’, a balance of mind and relaxation, food and nutrition and exercise and fitness. One without the other two will never achieve optimum health. This philosophy is reflected in each flavour and the ingredients used: Maqui, which has been reputed to detoxify, Chia Seeds & Lime can help to energise and Baobab & Vanilla may help to promote balance.

Sweet Virtues do not focus on what is ‘taken out’ but the amazing power-packed ingredients that are ‘added in’. The company believes that eating healthily should not be about self-denial or indeed less enjoyment when it comes to food but exactly the opposite.

Davis-Munro, a qualified PE instructor and avid yogi, says: “I wanted Sweet Virtues to reflect the life that I lead and my philosophy towards good food and health and the ‘triangle of health’ holds this ethos. Eating healthily should always be about using great ingredients that offer a benefit to our body and not about denying oneself. By creating a range of super food truffles that focus on flavour as well as the health benefits proves that eating healthily can taste delicious.”
