Improved gum range

Peppersmith is relaunching its gum range with improved flavour, improved packaging and a proven ability to reduce plaque.
The new European Food Standard Authority regulation on health claims has hit some brands hard, but not Peppersmith because its gum is sweetened with 100 per cent xylitol and has an approved EFSA claim and a British Dental Health Foundation accreditation for plaque reduction.
The new gum is perfectly placed for those looking to reduce plaque as well as those seeking fresh breath.
The new gum is part of Peppersmith’s range of plaque reducing products, which also includes 100 per cent xylitol Fresh Mints (sold in Holland & Barrett, Waitrose, Sainsbury’s Local and Boots).
“Sugar has taken a battering in the media and retailers are looking for alternative products to put by their tills. Our mints and gum are not only sugar free but are actually proven to reduce plaque so they’re perfect for retailers who want to stock healthy impulse products and take advantage of the rise in oral care spend” says Mike Stevens, commercial director for Peppersmith.
The new gum will be sold in a wide range of outlets including health and wholefood stores, pharmacies, dentists and traditional grocery chains. Two SKUs (fine English peppermint and fine English spearmint) will be hitting the shelves from December and the RRP is £1.29.
