KP Snacks unveils baked Hula Hoops

Food company KP Snacks has launched a baked version of its popular potato snack, Hula Hoops Golden Hoops.
Rolling out this month, the new savoury snack comes in a 50g Cheese flavoured grab bag and contains 30% less fat than standard crisps.
The launch will be supported by a multi million marketing campaign that includes social and digital activation, in store POS, as well as TV advertising on air this summer to drive awareness and trial among families across the UK.
Matt Collins, trading controller convenience and wholesale at KP Snacks, explains, “The ‘Better for You’ category continues to grow as more and more consumers focus on healthier lifestyles and seek alternative snack options. Golden Hoops taps into the fast-growing market for ‘permissible’ snacking by offering shoppers a healthier, yet tasty option that can be enjoyed either at home or on the move.”
He adds that the concept has been well received by consumers, with sales forecast to deliver over £10 million ($14.4m) RSV in the first year.
The new bags have an RRP of 69p, the multipacks RRP is £1.70. All are available in all major multiples and the convenience channel.
