Award given to leading confectionery regulator

Kraft Food’s Neil Smith has been awarded the confectionery sector’s highest honour, the Alfred Stauder Award for Excellence.
“As a member of the former CMA and now Ai Group Confectionery Sector Technical Committee for more than eight years including as chairman for six, Neil has made a long standing contribution to the confectionery industry,” Ai Group Confectionery Sector Principal Advocate, Tim Piper, says.
“He has also been an important industry voice on various government regulatory reviews and has been a great help to members on labelling, packaging and technical matters. Neil’s expertise, knowledge and passion for the industry and its products are invaluable,” Mr Piper said.
The Alfred Stauder Award recognises an individual’s significant contribution to the confectionery industry in the form of research, development and marketing of business. The Award was presented at Ai Group Confectionery Sector’s Congress Industry Dinner in Melbourne.
