Affordable retro kid’s classics

Tangerine Confectionery, the manufacturer of sugar confectionery brand, Candyland, has introduced a selection of 10p chew bars into its UK kid’s singles range, in order to offer consumers retro classic confectionery at affordable prices.
The Wham, Fruit Salad and Black Jack chew bars, which previously retailed at 20p each, will now enhance the existing Candyland 10p kid’s singles offer, while also acting as a great way to reintroduce consumers to these iconic confectionery products.
Candyland has further developed its existing kid’s singles range thanks to the addition of promotional price marked packs.
The new price marked packs include Nougat (35g), Dip Dab (23g), Refresher Dip Dab (23g) and Refresher Rolls (34g), all of which boast a limited edition special promotional price of just 30p each and will provide a much needed priced marked solution in the kid’s singles market.
Speaking about the range developments, Candyland’s senior brand manager, Sarah Brown, says: “The Wham, Fruit Salad and Black Jack chew bars, along with the 30p kids singles products, all evoke a sense of nostalgia among consumers and are all products that we know our customers love. What better way to reintroduce them to these iconic confectionery items than by offering them a more affordable price point.
“Taking our best-selling kid’s singles into the price marked packs, not only makes them more widely available to a broader demographic of consumer, but also gives them more reason to buy thanks to the irresistible price of 30p. Likewise with the new chew bars, offering these retro items at a 10p price point enhances the existing range, while also offering consumers classic confectionery at purse-friendly prices.”
As well as these price marked products, the Tangerine Confectionery team has also launched the much-loved Catherine Wheels in a small pack format. Catherine Wheels were previously only available in a six pack format, but now a smaller, twin Catherine Wheel pack has been developed, which allows consumers to purchase this popular product on impulse. The new Catherine Wheel twin packs will retail at 39p.
