On the go marshmallow range debuts

Sonoma Brands has added a range of premium on-the-go marshmallows to its product portfolio in a bid to shake up the sweet snacks category.
Available in seven flavours: Cinnamon Churro, Strawberries & Cream, Espresso Bean, Mint Chocolate Chip, Toasted Coconut Pineapple, Meyer Lemon Chia Seed and Root Beer Float, Smashmallow is gluten-free, made with 100% organic sugar and contains 70-90 calories per serving.
The company says Smashmallow has been created to redefine the sweet snack into a ‘better-for-you’, reduced guilt option for consumers who care about their health and wellbeing.
“At Sonoma Brands, we seek to adapt to ever-changing consumer needs and cravings by invigorating sleepy categories, such as the $36 billion confectionery space,” said Sonoma Brands founder Jon Sebastiani.
The 4.5 oz Smashmallow bags will be available from Sprouts retail stores across the US for a suggested retail price of $3.99. A broader West Coast launch in other retailers throughout the Pacific Northwest, Northern and Southern California is slated for November 2016.
