Fudge Kitchen expand free from product range

Fudge Kitchen has added two new sugar free products to its Delectables free from range of premium brittles and caramels.

The sugar free Almond Bark and Peanut Brittle flavours are suitable for diabetics. The products are made using sugar substitute Zùsto which is said to have an identical taste and texture to sugar with a quarter of the calories and none of the drawbacks of aftertaste or over-sweetness of other substitutes.

Zùsto is made of non-digestible, water soluble fibres which originate from natural substances, including corn and superfood chicory, with the probiotic inulin, chosen for their health value, it is known to substantially reduce calories and lower blood sugar levels.

Sian Holt, managing director at Fudge Kitchen, says, “It’s less to produce a product that doesn’t contain something – it’s not enough to be free from – primarily it has to taste good and to make our premium products available to everyone, from diabetics to weightwatchers to food intolerants.”

Fudge Kitchen has also introduced a dairy free line of Drinking Fudge, substituting coconut cream or soya milk for dairy, in seven different flavours. In addition, it has launched a dairy free vegan version of its ‘slab’ fudge in three flavours: Sea Salted Caramel, Choco Classic and Icy Vanilla Coconut.
