Nairn’s taps into seeded trend

Nairn’s has extended its gluten-free range to include Nairn’s Gluten-Free Super Seeded Oatcakes, tapping into increasing demand for seeded products.

The product is made from gluten-free wholegrain oats, flaxseed, sunflower and chia seeds, and is high in fibre. It is suitable for coeliacs, vegans and vegetarians.

Paddy Cronin, UK sales director at Nairn’s, says, “We have developed a gluten-free Super Seeded Oatcake to tap into the continuing trend for seeded products and based on the success of our main category Super Seeded oatcake which has fast become one of our best sellers.

“It’s always been vital to Nairn’s that our gluten-free range carries the same simple, natural and wholesome health credentials as our main range as the GF category often contains products which are higher in sugar or fat than their non GF counterparts to help with taste.”

Nairn’s Gluten Free Super Seeded Oatcakes are available in Sainsbury’s, Waitrose, Ocado, independent retailers and independent health stores at a retail price of £1.80. They are also listed in all key wholesalers across the UK.
