Nestlé extends sharing bag range

25 January 2011 – Nestlé Confectionery is extending its chocolate sharing bag range with Milkybar Giant Buttons, Rolo and Smarties. The UK sharing bag category is worth £788 million and chocolate sharing bags are outperforming the category with sales up 21 per cent.
The new bags have been designed to make them easier to share whilst having increased resealability. The launches will be showcased in a £2 million media campaign, featuring the ‘ungrow up’ TV ad.
Graham Walker, Nestlé UK trade communications manager, says: “With chocolate sharing bags experiencing huge growth, our renovated range of brands is set to have greater stand out on shelf.”
