The London Chocolate Company, a new luxury brand of chocolates celebrating Great Britain’s favourite flavours, is set to launch this summer. A creation of the Indian inspired confectionery brand Devnaa, The London Chocolate Company takes its inspiration from well-known British flavours, presenting itself as both a luxury confectionery brand and a British souvenir. The London Chocolate Company hopes that by appealing to both the tourism industry and general consumers, it will win crucial sales for retailers.

From July, over a six month period, a new carefully crafted chocolate flavour will be released into the market each month in time for the Christmas gift period. The collection will launch with Strawberries & Cream white chocolates with a fruity strawberry centre and finished with real strawberry pieces. Following this are Gin & Tonic white chocolate truffles with London gin, popping candy and a dash of lemon and cinnamon. Then Honey & Thyme with a touch of sea salt chocolates and Afternoon Tea milk chocolate truffles infused with Earl Grey.

Roopa, the company founder, says: “Motivated by the excitement around London at 2012 Olympic Games, the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and now the Royal baby we wanted to launch chocolate gifts visitors to London would buy their friends and families. In our research we found a huge array of gifts and souvenirs but couldn’t find any chocolate brands that represented Britain.  We wanted to emulate the same quality standards we have achieved with our successful Devnaa brand but this time with products inspired by British flavours.”

The London Chocolate Company’s luxury products will be available from July 2013 and will retail for up to £10 for a 130g box containing nine chocolates presented in a premium quality tetra ‘stand up’ carton.
