Perfeti Van Melle expands ranges

Perfetti Van Melle has launched new products in both its Smint and chewing gum ranges.

Smint has seen a new 2in1 Raspberry Lemon variety to help raise funds for Breast Cancer Care. The packs will feature the Breast Cancer Care Pink Ribbon and 5p from the sale of every pack will be donated to the charity from Perfetti Van Melle.

Available now, each Smint pastille has two layers, a pink raspberry flavoured and a yellow lemon flavoured layer in an attempt to appeal to female consumers. The products are sugar-free and is endorsed by Toothfriendly international. Aimee Reason, brand Manager at Perfetti Van Melle, says, “Our partnership with Breast Cancer Care is an exciting step for the brand and one that we know consumers will also appreciate.

Perfetti Van Melle has also expanded its Pure Fresh chewing gum range with the launch of Mentos 3 Layers, which has a textured gel middle layer to create a soft chew and allow the layers to build on top of each other to release flavour. They are available in Fresh mint and Fruit (strawberry-apple-raspberry) varieties. Green tea extracts have been added to help purify breath and deliver freshness in the mouth.

Packs contain seven pieces of chewing gum and has a recommended retail price of 59p. Reason adds, “With many sectors seeing declining chewing gum sales, Innovation draws in new consumers to the category and drives basket spend on gum.”
