Pom-Bear, the teddy bear-shaped potato snacks, has enrolled wildlife expert Michaela Strachan to front its 2011 promotional campaign, to encourage kids to learn more about animals and local ecosystems.

The promotional multi-packs will feature a code to allow all consumers to win a free child’s entry voucher to one of many wildlife centres across the UK.

The packs featuring Michaela Strachan will be available from May to the end of July 2011. Strachan says, “It’s great to encourage kids to get involved and interested in wildlife in every way, whether that’s seeing animals in the wild, in nature reserves, at wildlife centres, good zoos or watching wildlife programmes. Having a love and knowledge of animals not only helps us to protect them, but it also enriches our lives.”

Roxanne Amir-Mohammadi, brand manager for Pom-Bear, notes, “This campaign ties in with the relaunch of the Pom-Bear website, which is more interactive and educational for consumers. It will give consumers the opportunity to win a free day out to learn more about animals.”
