Special edition Lemur bars launch

Madagascan chocolate brand Madécasse has launched a limited edition range of Save the Lemur bars in Sainsbury’s, Waitrose and Whole Foods.
Five pence from the sale of each limited edition bar is being donated to the Lemur Conservation Foundation, whose aim is to preserve and protect lemurs, which are only found in Madagascar and are one of the most endangered mammals in the world.
Available in UK stores with an RSP of £3, the 75g bars are made with Madagascan heirloom cocoa and include Sea Salt & Nibs, Salted Almond, Espresso Bean and Toasted Coconut variants.
Sarah Shah, director of marketing at Madécasse, says, “We’re excited to see the bars on shelf and are confident that the chocolate and the campaign’s message will be well received by consumers.”
Nick Thomas, sales and marketing director at Madécasse’s UK importer and distributor Empire Bespoke Foods, adds, “It’s been a great year to date for Madécasse so we’re thrilled to be launching these special edition bars to UK consumers and are confident people will get behind the message and help the ‘Save the Lemur’ campaign.”
