Pecan Deluxe unveils nut free peanut butter cups
Pecan Deluxe Candy has launched a peanut butter flavour caramel filled milk chocolate mini cup that is peanut free.
An expansion of the company’s range of caramel cups, the latest addition is suitable for ice cream and other chilled and frozen desserts, as well as a topping or to be baked into cakes, doughnuts and tray bakes. The cups can be added to confectionery or other bagged snacks such as trail mix to create or enhance a premium range, the company says.
Pecan Deluxe has invested in developing the cups to meet growing demand for peanut flavour confectionery while complying with nut free regulations. The peanut butter flavour cups contain no actual nut or nut derived product and are manufactured in Pecan Deluxe’s segregated nut free facility using all natural flavours.
The 1.5g cups are available in multiple formats including bags, bulk bags boxed and with either ambient milk chocolate or frozen low melt chocolate compound.
Pecan Deluxe’s managing director, Graham Kingston, said, “We pride ourselves on product innovation and are delighted to bring to market what we believe to be the first mini caramel cup of its kind. Yes, there are nut free peanut butter flavour products available but as standalone snacks and confectionery, not as a bulk-supplied ambient or frozen inclusion for multiple markets.”
