Eat Natural, has created a new bar for 2012 – the Fruits & Fibre bar.  Packed with juicy pieces of fruit, lightly toasted oat and spelt flakes, and gorgeous chunky nuts – each of the two new bars contain just 175 calories and give you a wonderful, sustained level of natural energy. Each bar also contains 6g of fibre per 100g.

The two recipes are.

  1. Vanilla, plum and crunchy  peanuts
  2. Coconut and  apricot

The addition of oat and spelt flakes means that they are a little bit crunchier than other bars. No artificial flavours, colours or preservatives are used.

Harriet Gregory, who looks after new products at the Eat Natural Makery and who personally developed the recipes, says, This project has been a massive undertaking. It started life nearly two years ago as an Eat Natural flapjack but when we asked our customers we realised they wanted more than a flapjack….something a bit different.
So began our quest for a crunchy (yet moist) bar packed with fruit and nuts, high fibre, rich and creamy – which contains fewer than 175 calories.  Now after over 100 recipe attempts we are finally really proud of our creations, the plum and peanut being my personal favourite.”
