Soda flavoured macarons

Fujiya, a chain of cafes and confectionery shops in Japan, has launched a range of Sparkling Macarons that produce a popping sensation in the mouth.

The macarons are stuffed with a cream filling that has pieces of popping candy mixed in. They come in three flavours, including cola, lemon squash and blue ramune (a Japanese beverage with a citrus flavour).

Customers can purchase a box of all three for 500 yen ($4.25).
