Peanut bar recalled
US-based Probar has initiated a voluntary recall of its Probar Base Frosted Peanut Butter Bars due to the possible presence of an undeclared milk allergen.
People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of a serious allergic reaction if they consume this product. No other Probar products are affected.
Probar is only recalling Frosted Peanut Butter flavoured Probar Base Bars in 2.46 oz. packages with the following lot codes:24160, 24188 and 24289.
Retailers and distributors have been notified to remove the product from store shelves. Probar is working in close cooperation with the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to resolve this issue. There have been two consumer complaints of allergic reactions to date, which prompted the recall.
