Mr. Stanleys confectionery brand, from The Gourmet Candy Company, has expanded following further rise in demand at home and abroad.

Initially sold through John Lewis department stores, the confectionery brand recognisable for its sharp striped packaging has expanded dramatically in its customer base over the past 2 years, largely through its exclusive availability to independent retailers via Cotswold Fayre Ltd.

This has lead to natural product expansion for the quintessentially British brand. ‘‘The core of Mr. Stanleys has always been the fudges, honeycombs, peanut brittle and coconut ice’’ comments business development manager, Jaime Waring. ‘‘However, the story of Mr. Stanley and his confectionery offering has seen our consumers and retail partners asking for more and Mr. Stanley’s progressions into chocolate and biscuits is a bold but correct move forward for the brand’’

Launching all new chocolate fondant creams in gift boxes, luxury chocolate covered ingredients in elegant gift drums and exclusive recipe biscuits in drums and tins for this Christmas, the brand has seen its largest growth abroad. ‘‘Through our colleagues at the UKTI and the FDEA (Food & Drink Exporters Association) we have seen great growth abroad and it is exciting to meet and learn of fantastic new retailers and distributors in foreign markets’’ Waring comments. ‘‘We have launched Mr. Stanleys in Canada, Australia, Germany, Sweden and Italy to name a few.”
