Snickers debuts three new flavours

Mars owned chocolate brand Snickers is to introduce three new limited edition flavours – Espresso, Fiery and Salty & Sweet.

The new flavours, which will hit shelves in June 2018, will join the ‘Hunger Bar’ campaign and have peanuts and caramel covered in milk chocolate, now with a new flavour-infused nougat.

Each Hunger Bar will feature a hunger symptom on the outside of the packaging that the flavour is said to directly solve:

  • Espresso = Irritable
  • Fiery = Wimpy
  • Salty & Sweet = Indecisive

“Snickers knows that when you’re hungry, you lose your flavour and turn into your less desirable self,” says Michael Italia, senior brand manager for the Snickers brand. “Our new flavours paired with hunger symptoms provide an extended dimension to show how Snickers ultimately satisfies when hunger strikes.”

The limited edition flavoured Hunger Bars will be available at local food, mass, convenience and drug stores across the US.

Snickers plans to support the launch through a variety of 360 marketing tactics including in-store promotions, consumer activations and social media.
