Ferrero unveils £4.9m Thorntons campaign

Ferrero is investing £4.9 million in media spend to promote the relaunch of the Thorntons brand, which it acquired last year.

Ferrero says the multichannel campaign will celebrate what consumers like about the brand; authenticity, ingenuity and the hand crafted intricacies. The aim is to cover all touchpoints of the consumer journey to drive penetration and frequency for the brand, it adds.

As part of the campaign, Ferrero will screen the first Thorntons TV ad in seven years, which will be on air for six weeks from 4 November.

Ferrero says retailers will be able to add a suite of POS solutions that will be available throughout the year.

The Thorntons product range includes Continental, Classic, Mint, Moments and Puddings, with prices ranging from £4.29-9.00.
