Maynards Bassetts increases consumer value

Mondelēz International-owned brand Maynards Bassetts has introduced a new increased sized £1 promotional price marked pack, which it says provides more value for consumers.

The packs are available across its core bag range, including Maynards Bassetts Wine Gums and Maynards Bassetts Jelly Babies.

The aim is to help retailers drive sales on candy bags, which is the most impulsive category within snacking, with 60% of purchases being unplanned.

Research suggests that price marked packs are helping to make consumers hunt for value easier and can influence shoppers to buy products.

Kate Bashford, senior brand manager for Joyful Candy at Mondelēz International, said, “Price marked packs help to give shoppers the reassurance of clear pricing in store.”

She added, “The new 165g bags offer great value for consumers on larger PMP bags on its best sellers and help drive their sales in store.”
