Speciality Chocolate Fair

The Chocolate Speciality Fair was busier than ever this year, with many new and exciting products being launched at the show.

Award winning chocolatier, Barravelli’s introduced its new, vibrant, fun and colourful range of hot chocolate sticks. Chocostix will be available in 12 different flavours providing a tea-time treat for all ages. This new product joins the existing and award winning product, white chilli truffle.

Ocean Blue Candy launched a new brand of penny sweets to the confectionery market. A previous small business of the week winner chosen by entrepreneur Theo Paphitis, Ocean Blue Candy caters for events of all sizes. From personalised lollipops, to wedding favours, this online confectionery wholesaler is going from strength to strength in 2012.

Another company prospering this year is Yum Yum Tree Fudge, artisan producers of gourmet fudge that comes in contemporary flavours such as chilli chocolate, lime & coconut and sea salt. Made in the heart of Suffolk, Yum Yum Tree Fudge is made from all natural British sugar.

Specialising in handmade artisan sweets, Patchetts Confectionery uses only the finest natural ingredients. Its first range of gourmet marshmallow comes in an array of delicious flavours, including raspberry, lemon meringue, English lavendar, gingerbread and vanilla bean. What’s more, the Raspberry Marshmallow has recently celebrated a Gold Star at the Guild of Fine Food Great Taste Awards in 2012.

The Gourmet Chocolate Pizza Company brought unusual and new products to the show. The company has seen fantastic growth since it launched in 2007, which has meant it has been able to expand its product lines. This includes the introduction of Fair Trade Pizza that use only the finest Belgian chocolate and ingredients. Other products within the range include chocolate popcorn and hot chocolate.

Positioned as a healthier product within the confectionery market, Danoor Srl showcased its range of delicious products made of fine quality dates Deglet Noor. A key selling point for the company is how dedicated the skilled artisan chefs who create the sumptious recipes are as they manage to transform the features of dates into wonderful products rich in vitamins, minerals and fibre.

Finally, The Booja Booja Company highlighted its extensive range of organic, dairy and gluten free chocolate truffles and alternatives to dairy ice cream. All its products are vegan certified and over 11 years, the company has racked up a whopping 51 awards.
